History

Life Network was founded in 1985 by three local women passionate about offering hope and practical assistance to teens and women in unplanned pregnancies.  Along with this goal was bringing the positive and healthy message of abstinence until marriage to the youth in the community.  It has done just that, growing and thriving for over two decades serving the Santa Barbara community.  Our greatest accomplishments continue to center around the transformation and saving of lives as a result of our services.  We are proud of the relationships and good reputation we have established within the larger community and the success of our educational programs within the public and private school system.

As of March 16, 2008, Life Network became a licensed medical clinic by the California State Department of Health.  We now offer pregnancy testing, limited obstetrical ultrasound and STI (sexually transmitted infection) testing.  We have a registered nurse on staff available during medical hours and an OB/GYN medical director.  As of January 2009 we are doing-business-as Network Medical Pregnancy Resource Center.

Network Medical also provides options counseling, birth classes, post-abortion support, housing, mentoring and material aid to pregnant women and teens.  We strive to empower men and women to make a fully informed decision by providing accurate and complete information on all of their options.

Network Medical has a staff of 5: 2 full-time and 3 part-time.  We currently have 5 Board of Directors. The annual budget is just over $300,000.00.

All of our services are free and confidential.
